Questions
Asked before booking
Do I need council approval to remove a tree on the Gold Coast?
Often, yes. The City maps vegetation across the city, and some properties also sit under koala or heritage controls. The position is checked against the mapping before you get a price.
What if there is a koala in the tree?
The work waits. Queensland rules do not allow a koala habitat tree to be cleared while a koala is in it, or in a tree whose crown touches it.
Who does the work?
An independent local tree contractor. They quote, do the work and carry the insurance. This site is paid a fee by them.
What happens to the timber and the stump?
Limbs are chipped and carted. Stumps are ground out or left, whichever you choose.
A limb came down overnight. How fast can someone come?
Say what has come down and where it is resting. Storm calls are triaged by what is holding weight over a roof, a car or a path.
